Josef Sommer (born June 26, 1934) is a German-American stage and film actor. He portrayed District Attorney William T. Rothko in Dirty Harry. He also made his first film debut in the Dirty Harry.
He appeared in others such as Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Still of the Night, Target (1985) and Malice.
